I don’t consider myself to be a health food nut but, I do want my son to eat healthy and to have a good relationship with food. So far I’ve been lucky, my son loves fruits and veggies. However, my child is also like the billions of other kids on the planet and loves dessert as well. His absolute favorite (and mine too) being ice cream. Today I’m going to show you how to make a healthier alternative to regular ice cream, that is also toddler approved.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Food Processor Or Blender
5 Frozen Bananas
1/2 Cup of Milk (Any Kind)
2 Tablespoons of Honey
First you’ll need to place the frozen bananas in the food processor along with the milk. (I usually buy about 2 bunches of bananas a week and sometimes we don’t get around to eating all of them. Naturally the peeling starts turning brown. Instead of throwing them out and being wasteful. I peel them and put them in ziplock bag in the freezer.)
Then you’ll turn on your food processor until the bananas and milk are a creamy mixture. (You may have to add a little more milk)
Next you’ll add in your 2 tablespoons of honey and turn on the food processor until the honey is fully incorperated. (This should only take a few seconds).
Scoop, Serve, and Enjoy!!
